In Total War Arena Guide nutshell, your men Government Poker a wall Banküberweisung Zurückfordern advancing spear points and anything to the front gets annihilated. The commanders available to the player just starting out with Arena are the Roman's Germanicus, the Greek's technically Macedonian Cynane and the Barbarian's Arminius. If you see your friends fighting next to you, don't just stand there or wander off - close the enemy! Instant Gaming Guthaben Aufladen The Roman commander Germanicus focuses upon solid blocks of heavy infantry. This comes at the price of being easy meat to Greek archers, whose bows out-range javelins. The gold can be saved to unlock units or troop branches to complement your army, or spend on frivilous and colourful dyes Mycenaean Archers Archers are very tricky to use well in Arena. For full posting functionality, view this post in our forum. Greek hoplites, with their access to the phalanx ability, only enhance this. Strong enough to go toe to toe with most equivalent units, and mobile enough to be flexible, Romans excel at outflanking and crushing their opposition. See you on the battlefield! Cap'n Saccade. How to make Swordsmen throw javelins. I bet you didn't know that Italian Swordsmen can throw javelins. It's a well-kept secret of the game.

Arena2 in My Germanicus will destroy CaoCao!!! Will Arena ever come to EU? Will Total war arena ever come back? I played it a bit, and it was so awsome.

Wihsing it would hit the market here. Anyone knows? Total War: Arena for Mac! Please try to refrain from doing this too much, as switching can cause system instability which can result in your game crashing.

Instead, use the time to study ancient battles, lift some weights or do some sit-ups or push-ups, stretch your legs, get a drink of water, goto the bathroom, troll the forums, etc DO NOT just sit there staring, dribbling at the loading screen, for crying out loud!

Do some squats, or roll out your neck and shoulders at least! Look after your body - you need it to play games! Hopefully, your blood is pumping lots of oxygen to your brain and not your e-peen , and the map screen has loaded by now.

While you are here, you can find the buttons in the bottom right to ping locations on the map, or more likely to scribble some pointless arrows try talking instead You can also cry about imbalance on this screen.

Check it out: Tier 2 and Tier 9 in the same battle Is this unfair..? I don't think so. Sometimes you get fresh faces alongside seasoned vets.

Look at reality Deal with it. Sometimes it will work out for you!!! On the subject of Tiers, it is important to note that you generally receive the same XP for fighting at any given tier.

Then loosely base a plan around the terrain and the units you selected. Cooperation with players isn't mandatory, but bear in mind that a team with a few players working in concert will be playing the victory song more often than a team filled with those who play alone.

If someone's name is quite long like mine , then the [team] suffix will not be displayed unless what is typed is two lines long.

Be wary of this, and check that the chatbox displays, "team" before you talk tactics with your fellow Romans not greeks - don't organise with that rabble.

Please do tell everyone to rush and draw big arrows, and tell ppl to hurry up and push play - this lets the other players know that there will be a gaping hole in the army where your patience should be.

The 60 seconds is up..? Ok onto the actual game then! Your troops stand before you - I hope you have figured out how to move them, and also that dragging right-click allows you to face them as a group or individually.

Terrain affects each type differently, and you can see these effects by hovering your cursor over any terrain. Control or Shift, or dragging on the game screen will allow you to select multiple units.

If you select different units together, unshared commander or unit abilities will not be displayed. The unit and commander abilities are shown in the hotbar, along with their corresponding hotkeys.

How you use these are up to you, however - it is worth noting that with judicious use of commander abilities, good timing and clever strategy - it is possible to defeat stronger enemy units, routing or killing them outright.

However - don't expect your Tier 1 archers to do much against Tier 3 shielded opponents, even with special arrows Some special abilities are only available at certain times such as Shield Bash or Vengeance that require the unit to be in combat to activate.

Unit consumables are displayed next to abilities. Some require activation, such as different arrow types. Siege units must drop or destroy their weapon in order to act as engineers and lay traps.

Traps are placed by clicking and dragging, much like lining your men - only with the LEFT button. If a player disconnects for whatever reason - their units are left as "grey" on the field - you can control these units as your own, but you will not earn XP for using them.

Don't be that guy who sprints off to die, and causes the whole team to fail - try to remain patient and aware of what is going on, if you want to help your team win.

Positioning the camera directly behind your troops is fine to begin, but be aware that you are looking down a narrow field.

It is easy to be flanked like this. It is possible to position the camera on top of viewpoints, where you can survey the field and still command your troops effectively.

A reverse angle is also helpful, if you are extended further than the rest of your army and fear being surrounded. Stay aware - your troops will not fight better if you are watching, and constantly double-clicking the enemy will cause them to re-engage instead of staying in melee.

This is very useful - especially if you are losing a ranged exchange - it is good to jump into melee instead, or try to chase them off - by the time you realise you will lose, running away will also destroy your unit.

Expanding the menu using the arrow tells you exactly how bad that guy is friendly firing everyone. CAPS brings up a quick chat window, where u can find the cry for help command.

Holding TAB brings up a live 2D map of the battlefield. In the bottom right are the same buttons as the map to draw on the battlefield or ping locations, as well as zoom or expand your mini-map.

Try to not quit straight away when you are defeated - watch the rest of the battle to learn from the other players' mistakes and tactics, as well why your own caused you to be defeated.

If you quit the battle early, the general will be "locked" in battle. If you do it often, a general can remain "trapped" for a while longer than they ought to be Teach you to quit!!!

Quitters never win and winners never quit til they lose! You can always troll, I mean - help out - your team, by drawing symbols of the Roman Empire on their screens.

Selecting all and double clicking the enemy will only get you so far Clumping all your units in a big pile means all three will be destroyed when the firey catapult balls and concentrated volleys of arrows find their mark.

Try to encircle the enemy, or at least make them fight on two sides. If this requires pulling a unit back - don't be afraid to disengage and withdraw after a charge has had its effect.

Perhaps they will follow you directly into another charge, or all the arrows that would have hit your men if you remained Turn and face the enemy unexpectedly, and let your friends close the trap.

Especially if they have an OP charge, but are weak themselves Want to sneak around the flanks and spring ambushes on people?

Use this unit. Use forests, cover and line of sight mechanics to launch surprise attacks upon enemy units.

Your charge will make the damage you inflict all the more devastating. Carthage is a relatively new faction, arriving with the Open Beta, both its commanders are locked behind a pretty significant amount of free experience.

For those aiming to go down the Carthaginian Tech Tree, there is an interesting selection of units to look forward to.

First and foremost, there is a lack of ranged units up until the very highest tiers. This however is made up for by the ability of the Carthaginians to mix and match their spear and sword infantry, an ability available to no other faction at present apart from with premium units.

Beyond that, the stars of the show are obviously the elephants no Total War is truly a Total War without war elephants!

Functionally, the first units available to would-be Carthaginian players are Mercenary rabble, who despite their name fight similarly to the Mycenaean Hoplites discussed previously, that is in a tight phalanx formation.

Stats wise they are slightly more powerful in offensive strength than hoplites, and slightly inferior in most other factors.

At this stage however, it is more the positioning of units that will matter to the player rather than stats. This unit should be used in a similar manner to Hoplites.

It should always face the enemy, it should use its phalanx ability as much as possible although it should avoid using the ability with friendly units in the area, as they will take damage as well and it should avoid being outflanked.

Word on the grapevine is that Carthage can be a little underwhelming on the lower tiers, with its strengths being in the other units available to it at upper tiers, but a player who has acquired Carthage should have a fair idea about what the game is about by now!

There will be more unit types and more commanders as a player progresses through Total War: Arena.

But you can be sure theones presented above will be present in each and every battle you will join in arena. My final advice to the budding Arena commander is to play what you enjoy.

Germanicus The Roman commander Germanicus focuses upon solid blocks of heavy infantry. Cynane Greek's Cynane focuses heavily upon archery, with her abilities geared toward supporting ranged units.

Arminius If Cynane focuses upon archery, and Germanicus upon brawling with the enemy head on, then Arminius is all about mobility.

Roman Units Roman infantry can best be regarded as a jack of all trades faction. Greek Units Greek units love positional warfare.

Mycenaean Hoplites Mycenaean hoplites are the first spear armed units the player will have access to. Mycenaean Archers Archers are very tricky to use well in Arena.

Barbarian Units Barbarian units rely more upon ambush and stealth than other factions units. Tribesmen These guys tend to get overshadowed by their more exciting cavalry brothers.

Carthage Carthage is a relatively new faction, arriving with the Open Beta, both its commanders are locked behind a pretty significant amount of free experience.

Mercenary Rabble Functionally, the first units available to would-be Carthaginian players are Mercenary rabble, who despite their name fight similarly to the Mycenaean Hoplites discussed previously, that is in a tight phalanx formation.
